Okay, this is all raaaandom stuff I wanted to get out of the way to know how it fits in with the plot/clear my mind of any confusion.
Tai asked why U-TIC would have been experimenting on Zohar Emulators during the Miltian Conflict in the first place. So we thought on it some. He suggested that their real leader is Wilhelm, not Margulis (which is kind of hinted at in XS III, since U-TIC is a front for Ormus and Ormus is run by Wilhelm...but I don't want Wilhelm to run Ormus in the SL, if that's okay). He went on to suggest that Wilhelm organized U-TIC to find the Zohar Emulators in various parts of the universe, thinking that they could probably change the will of the universe ( = Zohar) to fit humanity's needs instead of vice-versa. Since, by then, there was very little faith in humanity's ability to adapt to the universe's will.
We also came up with an awesome idea about KOS-MOS/Miang. Okay, you know how the universe is in eternal recurrence? We figured that maybe Wilhelm's doing that because he knows humanity is fucking itself over, so the current universe keeps permanently rewinding and replaying until humans can find a way to save themselves from suffering as a result of failing to meet the requirements of the universe's will. But that's not the point. What IS the point, is that maybe the downfall of the universe happens differently every time. And each time, it's directly related to the humans' rejecting the will of the universe (which, on a side note, is the Gnosis' origins).
Maybe Miang is involved each and every time. Like, since humans will always reject the will of the universe, their refusal will always lead to the birth of an entity that puts into motion the rebellion against U-DO/God; that entity being Miang. So it would be as if she's the actual epitome of the idea of rejecting the original God of the universe. Maybe, in the past, she came about in different ways; and this time she came about in KOS-MOS.
I'm not sure if the Deus Project is a constant factor or not, but either way, we thought it would be cool if Miang is kind of like...the personification of rebelling against the set rules of the universe.
Um, also, Krelian... He just wants to make a new God because he thinks the current one sucks at his job, right? The Xeno universe seems to have a semi-Deist approach about God; like he makes the world, makes humanity, and then sits back and watches everything unfold, but with the intention of humans returning to God on their own. So this guy just said "Fuck that" and decided there should be a God who loves and helps humans instead of a "You guys figure it out on your own" one?
Just checking to make sure we got everything down. () Tai and I started talking about characters, and then it led to all this, which called for a need for confirmation.
